Venue Description
The Gales Gallery showcases the talents of York University’s rising young artists and curators. It is managed by the Department of Visual Art & Art History in York’s School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design. Exhibitions of student work are presented weekly or bi-weekly during the academic year. Programming ranges from graduate thesis exhibitions to solo and group shows featuring the work of undergraduate students, spanning a full range of creative media. All exhibitions are open to the public. Admission is free.
Note: Accessible entrances from the York University Common (transit loop) or the adjacent Centre for Film and Theatre.
