Part-time Art/Handler/Registrar, Caviar20

Caviar20 is looking for a PT Art/Handler/Registrar

Location: Queen West (Some tasks can be done remotely)
Hours/schedule: 1 day / week: ideally Mondays (aprox. 10:30-5)

Key responsibility:

• Packing framed and unframed artwork, or sculpture, for shipment via international courier (FedEx Ground & DHL)
• Receiving, unpacking, inspecting/assessing condition and storing new inventory
• Maintaining packing supplies; re-ordering, organizing & reusing shipping materials
• Co-ordinating with framers and restorers, including deliveries
• Organizing and maintaining archival storage of unframed works on paper
• Assorted pick-ups and deliveries
• Occasional help with installation of artwork (both onsite or offsite exhibition)

Applicants:

MUST have experience with art handling, fine art moving, library science, or as a registrar (either in the commercial or non-profit realm)

Should be professional, dedicated to excellence, disciplined, organized, have excellent communication skills and be hard-working.

Should be able to easily lift and move a 20 lb box measuring 45” x 40” x 8”

Preferably hold a driver’s license with a clean record, and has experience with Zip cars

Start date: Immediately

$22-26/hr based on experience
